Design and development of an IoT solution for a leading European natural gas operator

The exponential growth of interconnected devices and systems, along with the processing and analysis of their data, is increasingly driving the digitalization of businesses, and IoT is at the heart of this digital transformation. In fact, the customer's need was to enable users of its newly developed smart control units for charging gas-powered vehicles to configure and manage the charging process autonomously and efficiently from their smartphones. Omnys therefore designed and developed an IoT solution to manage the charging units via an app, iOS and Android, which allows the user to configure, visualize and monitor the entire charging experience of their vehicle.

Indeed, the app allows users to: create a personal profile, associate one or more fuel stations with their smartphone and configure them according to their needs, keep track of all fueling sessions, process fueling statistics, and view active alarms and historical alarms at the fuel station. All of this is possible thanks to extensive expertise in the field and Omnyvore, an IoT platform developed by Omnys that can manage any type of cloud-connected device, collect data from the field, process the collected data and provide visual dashboards to operators. A platform that has been matured through many IoT projects and that differs from other products in that it is highly scalable, offers maximum security, has a user-friendly interface and a flexible infrastructure.

Omnys was therefore able to meet the customer's needs by assisting them from the feasibility study to the technical implementation and deployment of the project, thus creating an ad-hoc end-to-end solution that met their expectations.
