By supporting GODO, a startup currently operating in London since 2015, Omnys has designed and developed a “smart food delivery” platform: a delivery service that paves the way in delivering food at home in a very smart way!
GODO arises from the idea to deliver in a very fast way high-quality Italian food, made with ingredients rigorously Made in Italy and cooked by world-class chefs, Tommaso Arrigoni (a Michelin-star chef) and Michele Carretta, at homes and offices in the City and around Canary Wharf in London.
They will expand to new delivery areas in London and new cities world-wide.
It is a very clever and innovative delivery system based on the assumption of a ready-meal made with advanced cooking and carrying techniques: deliveries take place through scooters (the Italian Vespa), electrical bikes or cars for special deliveries (obviously a Fiat 500).
The system that has been developed is able to gather orders both from the website and the iOS app through which users may browse the available menu, meals ingredients and nutritional values; once the order has been placed (by paying online) the system lets you track in real-time the scooter that is making the delivery, together with information about the estimated time of arrival.
The kitchen is equipped with an application allowing to monitor in real-time the whole process of an order, starting from receiving the order itself and ending with the final delivery; all people involved in the delivery (Ambassadors) are constantly geolocalized thanks to a smartphone they are equipped with, on which an Android dedicated app is running and all information about Ambassador and delivery is sent to the central system (such app has been designed to take care of all delivery operations).
