been working for years with one of the <strong>big players in the eyewear industry<\/strong>, supporting Luxottica in the development, technical management and migration of the e-commerce platforms of its main brands, for both the domestic and international markets.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the years, Omnys has been involved in several projects for <strong>the USA, Australia and New Zealand markets<\/strong>, handling the development and porting of the e-commerce platforms, the migration of data, flows and integrations with external systems, and the front-end upgrade.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Luxottica&#8217;s e-commerce platforms in the USA<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luxottica Retail North America, Inc. owns the brands Target Optical, Pearle Vision and Sears Optical in the United States, three optical retail chains with their own online shops: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>TargetOptical.com<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PearleVision.com<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SearsOptical.com<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Omnys is involved in the development and technical management of the <strong>3 online shops<\/strong> for the US market, on the <strong>IBM Websphere Commerce Spectacle Makers)<\/strong>, an optical retail chain with over 80 years of history and more than 400 stores across Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brand is present online with two e-commerce shops:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.opsm.com.au\/\">www.opsm.com.au <\/a><\/strong>for Australia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.opsm.co.nz\/\">www.opsm.co.nz<\/a><\/strong> for New Zeland<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For these two shops as well, Omnys handles development and technical management on the I<strong>BM Websphere Commerce platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Native Eyewear and Costa Del Mar: migration to the class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the US market, Omnys has been involved in the projects to migrate to the <strong>new e-commerce platform<\/strong> two brands of the Luxottica group: <strong>Native Eyewear and Costa Del Mar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For both projects, Omnys handled the <strong>porting from the previous platform to the new HCL 9 platform<\/strong>, migrating all application components, data, flows and integrations with external systems, as well as upgrading the front-end.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Native Eyewear is a brand specialising in polarised sunglasses for sport and outdoor activities, while <strong>Costa Del Mar<\/strong> is a flagship brand for the US market, a leader in polarised sunglasses for sea and water-sports enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new e-commerce platform is highly available, <strong>highly scalable and highly customisable<\/strong>, able to support thousands of transactions per day and to deliver a smarter, more integrated shopping experience for users.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator
