Platinum 4 has a completely visual Graphical User Interface (GUI).
It has been developed with OpenLaszlo (www.openlaszlo.org) technology, a tecnology which allows you to develop web applications with a high level of usability and user-experience. The Platinum back-end is therefore a Rich Internet Application (RIA), or rather an Internet application with operator interface functionality of high performance and high appeal.
Platinum has been in fact included among the best OpenLaszlo applications.
The interface provides for example the Drag & Drop functionality, as well as allowing a reduction in data exchange between clients (the operator's browser) and the server, thus guaranteeing less use of bandwidth.
The website contents structure and organisation are highly intuitive: the contents structure is displayed as a tree strating from the homepage and all nodes and sub-nodes.
 It is also possible to view contemporarily two different website trees, where one tree can be the website in another language or the website viewed in “staging” and in “production” mode. The page layout (grid) is displayed as an interactive graphics diagram, within which you can place and move the graphics components of a page, by dragging-&-dropping them.
